Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Nov 17, 2022
02:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Beaujolais Nouveau Day is a celebration of the Nouveau wine made at the end of the Gamay grape harvest in the Beaujolais region of France. This celebration happens every year, on the 3rd Thursday of November- specifically at 12:01am.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a very young Beaujolais, being bottled only 6-8 weeks after the harvest and also the reason why it’s called Nouveau, meaning “new.” Beaujolais Nouveau is essentially a first taste of the newest harvest and vintage.
We’re happy to bring you the latest Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau release this November 17th for Beaujolais Nouveau Day! Georges Duboeuf was known as the “Pope” or “King” of Beaujolais and is known for spearheading Beaujolais Nouveau Day. This year’s Nouveau has “fresh aromas of black cherries and blackberries, as well as a dense texture, and an admirable richness.”
Also, available is a Nouveau from California made in the style of a Beaujolais. Same process of pressing done with Beaujolais Nouveau but with Valdiguie, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Sangiovese. Flavors of “black plum, chocolate covered cherry, and boysenberry” making this a great ode to Beaujolais Nouveau!
Available both by the glass and in bottles. Very limited supply with both wines.
“Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!”
