The Far Out Lounge
Doors at 7pm
Hailing from the furthest reaches of Texas (every which side of the state–but mostly North & West), Casper Allen left home early in search of experience, and, years later, his search continues. Detailing his experiences in the Texas songwriting tradition of his heroes Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, with a raw and aggressive bluesy vocal styling reminiscent of the Texas bluesmen Freddie King and Albert Collins, Allen explores themes of addiction, life on the road, and the ups and downs of a life well-traveled with a style developed busking on street corners and playing in dirty bars across the greater U.S.
Pulling from old church hymn books, family stories, and his own unique writing style, Nicky Diamonds performs a set that transports you back in time and captivates you like a good book. Diamonds with his clever melodies, seasoned writing style, and mesmerizing voice have quickly gained the attention of many in the country, americana, and folk industry. He was invited to play in 2022´s Americana Fest (playing to a sold-out showcase with the Black Opry at the historic Station Inn), the Pilgrimage Music Festival in TN, and the 2022 Lucktober Reunion on Willie Nelson´s Ranch in TX.
Blending classic honky-tonk sound with honest songwriting, South Texas Tweek has burst onto the scene less than a year after releasing his first single, hitting the top 25 on the Texas Country Spotify charts. The trademark nickname “Tweek” was given to him after being diagnosed with Tourette´s syndrome when he was 9 years old. Tweek draws inspiration from his life, writing alongside his contemporaries, and his South Texas home. Often collaborating with his good friends Charley Crockett and Vincent Neil Emerson, South Texas Tweek has quickly made it clear that he is here to stay in the Texas scene.
