Discover the natural and artistic wonders of Laguna Gloria, one walk at a time!
This new public program series features monthly guided walks + creative workshop activities to observe and map Laguna Gloria in a variety of ways, starting with the program's 2021 Observer-in-Residence, Ann Armstrong of Odditree Society.
For this month's program, we'll begin with a guided walk through the Laguna Gloria grounds that focuses on expanding the way we see in order to better appreciate our arboreal kin. At the conclusion of the walk, we'll split up to individually explore the sculpture park, with the intent to find and document a captivating tree. Finally, we'll reconvene to share our findings and compile a collective guide to the trees of Laguna Gloria.
You will reflect using the medium of your choice, so bring a sketch book, camera, pen + paper. This is an outdoor program and we will be walking on uneven surfaces, so please dress accordingly!
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Each time slot has a limited capacity.
