Join us December 27 from 2 to 4PM for an artist conversation with p1nkstar, and Myf Mars and Jordan Kolevach from Hotel Free TV, to unveil their latest collaboration "Girls Like Us" - a live music video experience centering and celebrating the work of trans music artists in Central Texas, scheduled to premiere January 28.

You can expect a discussion touching on trans futurities, the importance of local music scenes, artist resiliency in times of crisis, and the artist's own highly-engaged collaborative practice.

For online security reasons, we are asking everyone to RSVP to join the event. You can RSVP at:

p1nkstar creates a world far removed from this dimensions binaries through music and conceptual shows. Since 2016, p1nkstar has rapidly become an emblematic figure in the Texas arts and nightlife scenes by opening inclusive spaces that center the work of queer and trans artists of color in a city that is rapidly becoming whiter and straighter. She has received two Best of Austin awards for her space-making work in the city & has been presented as the future of nightlife in The Austin Chronicle's 2018 Pride Cover. p1nkstar's work has been exhibited at Blanton Museum of Art, SXSW, and the Roots & Culture: Contemporary Arts Center in Chicago & she has supported acts like Charli XCX, Crystal Waters, The Ladies of LCD Soundsystem.

HOTEL FREE TV is a DIY life support machine for the local music scene, created to plug the hole in our hearts where live music used to be. It's a safe space for free expression, where the creative community can share, discover and collaborate. Our virtual residency program gives artists a platform to showcase new music that would otherwise be confined to their practice spaces, promote each other by selecting different support acts each week, and reach a global audience despite tours being cancelled indefinitely. Every show is FREE to stream.

This project is supported in part by IMMEDIATE Fashion School and the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department. Thanks for the support and care you have provided to this program.
