So I wanted to go to Kebabalicious and my friend whined about the possibility of sitting outside so we went on the hunt for a place to sit inside at. I remembered that this place was close, so away we went.

Plenty of parking (a rare commodity), and a big space inside.

I ordered the roasted chicken taco and the crispy beef deluxe with a drink and it was $10.00.

My friend got chips and salsa which she had to pay for, which is somewhat absurd in my opinion. The salsa was nothing exciting. I like something more picoso - this was just sort of blah.

The reason I am a fan is that both tacos were delicious. The chicken taco was nice, shredded, white meat with this super flavorful, a little spicy tomatillo salsa, and a big, thick slice of avocado. The deluxe beef was chock full of fresh veggies and a dollop of guacamole perched on top.

I would certainly come back here for lunch, and would love to see better salsa.

SO. Breakfast tacos, totally an Austin thing ya? YEAH! I was always afraid to try them until I was like, "...well, if Anthony Bourdain says Austin is the originator and the home of the best breakfast tacos, then F--- it" So happy I tried this place. It was on No Reservations and it's fantastic.

Walk through a dusty parking lot, push that wooden door and enter a world of color, pretty smells, a freaking fountain with birdies, salsa bar and freshly made margaritas. Everything about this place is wonderful. The prices, the spunky lady at the register who by-the-way doesn't judge you for having a prickly pear margarita at 11am with your breakfast taco and encourages the homemade salsa. Hell, she even ran outside to make sure the birds weren't feasting before we did. I would frequent this place always if I lived in Austin... but for now, I will settle for every time I get off that airplane, take a Fasten (aka NOT Uber) and my first stop will be here. Every time. Cheers.

Definitely a place everyone must try. We finally decided to try this place when looking for breakfast tacos (where we would not have to wait in a long line).

I tried a few breakfast tacos, that were excellent and a decent size.
    1. Egg, potato, bean & ranchera.
    2. Sausage, Egg, cheese, & ranchera.
    3. Chorizo, Egg, cheese, & ranchera.

I was not overly fond of the chorizo (not bad, but had an odd flavor that I did not like), so I did not eat that one.

The sausage was a link. Tasty; but, I would really have gathered it be mixed in with the eggs.

The ranchera sauce was tasty. But, it was more like a picante sauce from my experience. It was definitely tasty, though.

All in all, this place is an awesome hidden Austin treasure. I definitely suggest stopping in for breakfast, and don't forget a carafe of Mimosa... 😉
